I am going to just be blunt and lay it out there for you...

The odds are stacked against you.

Do you know what over 90% of people (including you) who are seeking success find? I bet you can guess it isn't success! In fact it is exactly the opposite of success.

You find...

• frustration,

• empty bank accounts,

• rocky relationships,

• doubt and disbelief in themselves and what they are doing,

• confusion

• hopelessness

and the worst thing of all...

• you give up on YOURSELF!

Look, I don't blame people for feeling this way in fact I have felt this way many times in the past myself and it is a very scary and powerful feeling to experience.

Partly because it only happens when you are at your most vulnerable state and partly because feeling that way dramatically changes your energy and your ability to see the truth!

The question is WHY do so many people end up feeling this way and experiencing failure when they are seeking success?

It's the Dog and Ball syndrome...

Imagine yourself out at the park on a sunny summer day playing fetch with the cutest, most excited dog you can imagine that is bubbling with fun playful energy.

You throw the ball and the dog chases after it wagging it's tail then swoops down in a full sped run and snatches it in his mouth then happily brings it back to you so you can throw it again.

And what do you do? You throw it again! This process goes on and on (if you have ever played fetch with a dog like a Lab you know this event could last forever!) until you get tired of throwing the ball.

Now the dog is crowding your space almost tripping you dropping the ball in front of you waggin' his tail waiting for you throw it just one more time.

But you have lost interest in playing that game and are done.

(Think you know where this going? Stay with me here...)

After a while the dog decides to pick up the ball and run around without you having to throw it. And then when you are ready to leave the dog isn't even thinking about going anywhere!

All of the sudden the tables have turned!

Now you end up chasing the dog (that you will never catch by the way) all over the place trying to get that ball from the grips of his jaw so you can just get him in the car and get home.

This is when the game stops being fun. Now you're annoyed, frustrated, impatient, and angry! You feel stupid, awkward, and clumsy (don't feel bad they have 4 legs we only have 2) because you can't catch the dog.

And no matter what you do you can't seem to get that dog to come to you.

This is how most people approach the game of success and NEVER end up catching it! Why?

Because the dog wants the BALL not you! All you are to that dog is the 3rd element that allows the dog to have fun and play.

The ball can represent anything from money, health, happiness, love, or anything in between. The ball is the thing that equals success to you. The dog represents the people who already have what you want. And you, well, represent YOU!

It is an all to familiar situation, you have a STRONG burning desire to succeed and you do all of things you think you are supposed to do. You chase that dog tirelessly vowing to NEVER give up until you catch it!

But the blunt truth is, using that approach you will NEVER catch it.

So I guess you should just throw in the towel and give up right?

No way! I am going to flip the switch for you right now and tell you the number 1 secret that successful people inherently know but don't know how to explain to people.

You Only Become Successful When Success Chases You!

You MUST become the person that success chases after instead of being the person who is constantly chasing success.

Think about it, can you imagine trying to out run that dog? If you can out run a happy dog full of energy you are a super freak-a-ziod who should have every Olympic gold medal there is!

Success always runs faster than you. All you have to do is make it chase you and then you can never get away from it! In fact, it will be nipping at your heals.

Sounds pretty good huh? Well let me tell you... it IS good, very good.

The question is how the heck do YOU do that? How do you become that person that success chases after?

Here's where you need to make a massive separation and distinction...

It's not about the mechanics. It's not about the "system". There is not a system or method out there that can make success chase you...

You have to BECOME that person.

What the heck does that mean!?!?! I know, I know, all these crazy sounding catch phrases and stuff without any definition just leaves you more confused and frustrated.

Well don't worry, I am going to explain EXACTLY what it means and what it looks like to become the person success chases after.

Have you ever heard the famous quote by Jim Rohn that says,

"If someone were to give you a million dollars, best you become a millionaire so you get to keep the money?"

It's a great quote and fits perfectly here.

Imagine for a minute your current life. What kind of home do you live in? What kind of cars do you drive? What kind of clothes are wearing? What level of health and fitness are experiencing everyday?

What kind of work do you do? What is your favorite food? Do you stress and worry about money? Do you pay your bills on time? Do you pay your bills at all?

What kind of furniture do you have? What levels of stress are you at in life? Are you happy, fulfilled, satisfied and enjoy living your purpose everyday?

Get a real good picture of your life...

Burn it into your mind as strong as you can....

Got it...

Now uproot your entire life, your house full of everything inside of it (messes and all), your cars, your job, your yard, everything that exists in your reality.

Uproot it and transplant it into a plush neighborhood on the ocean with multi million dollar homes that have grass groomed so neat it looks like carpet. Where everyone is smiling and happy and talking with each other.

Next to you on both sides of where you live are majestic estates with so many exotic cars it looks like a rap video is being filmed there!

I mean you just landed in high society baby!

Now your neighbors come over and introduce themselves to you, a young couple holding hands and smiling in there mid 30's that look happy beyond belief.

They ask to come into your life, your world, your home, and your mind and take a tour. They want to get to know their new neighbor. How do you feel?

Would you feel like you are being judged? Like the people around you are looking down on you? Like you don't "belong" there?

Do you feel like a millionaire?

Or are you a bit uncomfortable? Do you feel like you could get everything all of your neighbors have? Live this kind of lifestyle?

Or are they in some special elite group and class of people that "just get" to have this stuff and this experience in life?

The only difference between them and you is how they think! That is it. Most people that are successful weren't always successful at all.

They had to learn to become the person that success chases themselves to get what they have gotten.

They had to DO something to get what they got in all areas or their lives from happiness, health, financial success, to the healthy and fulfilling relationships they enjoy everyday.

Do you think that stuff "just happens?" Well you probably do because that is what everyone is telling you but I am stopping that lie right here and now!

Look at it like this, lets rephrase that quote from Jim Rohn.

Try this one...

"If someone hands you a $50 million dollar contract to play professional basketball in the NBA, best you become a basketball player so you get to keep the contract!"

You must become the person who gets that contract before you will ever have a chance to get it. Success is not about achieving something it is about creating something and in every case of success ever have ever read or heard about that something comes down to YOU!

All the work is becoming that person because once you become that person success is EASY! It just flows into your life like rivers dump into the oceans.

The tough part is not the success itself but rather becoming that person yourself. But it is a critical component to success.

You have to become successful at what you seek to achieve success in locally before you will ever be successful in that area of your life globally.

This is a massive misconception that most people have. It's the global part everyone is looking for. The fame, fortune, material wealth, and all of the other things the world showers on you when you are successful.

But you only get that from everyone else when you get for yourself first.

Think of the last time you have ever seen a rich person get turned down for a loan? What about a confident, charismatic person being rejected be others? How about an athletic person being last picked to be on the team?

They get success delivered to them because they have become exactly what they want the world to deliver!

Look, no one ever picks the worst person on the team and/or the lowest energy person and says;

"YES! They have what it takes. I am going to invest all of my time and money in that low energy person who has done nothing to improve their skills and expand their knowledge in life!"

That sounds as crazy as it is! Success looks for the person who has already become the guy who would attract the $50 million dollar contract! Now if you don't want to play basketball then you wont do what it takes to learn to play basketball right?

But you also wouldn't constantly chase after a career in basketball. But if you DID want to play basketball, you would become the person that success chases (even though you might not even be able to bounce a ball yet)

You would be up early to work out and run drills, you would study the rules and the plays of the greatest players in history, you would learn the mindset and attitude that the greats possessed, and you would adopt and adapt all of the things you needed to become a great basketball player.

Then and only then could that scout with $50 million dollar contract find you...
